Abstract
Purpose
The research topicality is stipulated by the need to study the legal regulation problems of the state financial guarantees of medical services for the population in Ukraine and to consider positive experience of the developed countries in this area. The aim of the article is to define the main trends in the legal regulation of healthcare in Ukraine; analyze the state financial guarantees of medical services for the population, and positive and negative aspects of the healthcare reform; to explore the international experience in medical services for its implementation to national law enforcement in the sphere of healthcare.
Design/methodology/approach
During the research, systematization and generalization of the positive international experience in the legal regulation of the state financial guarantees of medical services for the population were realized.
Findings
The analysis of the population's perception of healthcare innovations was carried out. The level of medical service was assessed. The results showed that in order to improve Ukrainian legislation on healthcare, it is necessary to remove absolute conflicts of normative legal acts; to establish public confidence in innovations and changes; to take into account international experience adapting it to specific features of Ukrainian legislation.
Originality/value
The defined theoretical and applied provisions constitute the practical significance for scholars and practicians, who deal with the legal regulation problems of the state financial guarantees of medical services for the population, university professors training highly qualified personnel, and all interested people concerned with healthcare.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to present a methodology to assess the experiential learning processes of learning lean in an innovative learning environment: the lean model factories.
Design/methodology/approach
A literature review on learning and lean management literatures was carried out to design the methodology. Then, a case study methodology was used to test the framework.
Findings
The methodology permitted to asses learning processes and course contents of educational dynamics carried out in model factories and to theoretically ground such learning processes. The test showed that learning lean management is supported through a complete coverage of the eight phases of the learning path.
Research limitations/implications
The methodology contributes to the literatures of lean management and experiential learning, proposing a methodology of assessment. Part of the framework could also be applied to other disciplines.
Practical implications
The methodology could be used for two purposes: to design training courses or to assess existing experiential learning courses.
Originality/value
Due to its intrinsic complexity, learning literature presents few practical framework or tools. Among them, none have provided practical and theoretical-based advice on how to use experiential learning precepts to teach lean management.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper explores the most recent contributions to interpreting customer-driven supply chains (CDSCs) under the IMP lens, focusing on the main characteristics that emerged from a review of the relevant literature. The purpose of this paper is to offer a holistic interpretative framework of major topics covered by the CDSC literature, highlighting both some shared issues and emerging elements using the IMP conceptual framework’s ARA (actor bonds, activity links and resource ties) model.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper reviewed the literature by searching selected journals using a combination of specific keywords in order to find the most recent contributions on the CDSC theme. The presented analysis allowed an interpretation of the findings through a conceptual framework.
Findings
The findings suggest that the ARA model could be a useful method through which to structure an interpretation of the most recent contributions, in both IMP and the general literature, on the discipline. In particular, three streams of research were identified: the customer closeness strategy, relational strategy, and intra-organizational strategy.
Research limitations/implications
These clusters can be deeply analyzed using the major knowledge on CDSC dynamics. By studying these issues in an integrated way, the implications in terms of competition, generalization of results, constraints, problems, and difficulties of the customer-driven approach could be enhanced. Limitations are the restricted period of time and the absence of empirical research.
Practical implications
Each identified cluster presents the tools that have to be improved in order to implement the customer-driven orientation, which increases the performance and brings an added value for the same supply chain. For this reason, an emerging need is to develop studies on the empirical side that consider the implications in terms of an integrated framework among the three issues.
Originality/value
The paper increases the understanding of CDSCs by using conceptual and interpretative tools developed by the IMP literature. The ARA model allows the creation of a conceptual framework that clarifies, in a holistic way, the most important characteristics that have to be developed in order to improve the CDSC perspective. Recommendations and a research agenda for the implementation of the customer-driven view are derived.

Abstract
Purpose
To improve the performance both in terms of patient safety and quality of treatments, this research studies one of the most delicate processes of health organizations, that is to say, the clinical risk management in maternal and child pathway. This paper aims to analyze the accidents that occurred in a complex health facility through the standard mapping of this pathway included in the CartoRisk, i.e. a risk assessment tool for the a priori analysis.
Design/methodology/approach
The research uses the case study methodology, as it explores a complex process in which a lot of variables and actors are involved. It analyzes the accidents occurred in the largest health facility at national and European level.
Findings
After a presentation of the regulatory framework and the studied health organization, the research analyzes the accidents occurred in maternal and child pathway from 2014 to 2018. It showed the main risks according to the standard mapping of the maternal and child pathway. Furthermore, it identified 11 new risks mainly associated with physiologic birth and Caesarean birth.
Originality/value
This study presents the regulatory framework, the health facility and the accidents of a health organization. Moreover, besides the accident analysis, the research integrates further risks into the standard mapping adopted to carry out this study and proposes a risk management approach. Therefore, the value of the research for operators will consist of the integration of the standard mapping used for a priori analysis to be reused in the hospitals where they work, while for researchers it will represent a deep knowledge of a real case.
